Preview a site before DNS points to us
Create a temporary preview URL for any site hosted on the DreamIT Host network. Links last 7 days and the site's own URLs are rewritten automatically.
Use this when the domain's DNS hasn't moved to DreamIT Host yet, or the site lives on a different server than DNS suggests. Must be a DreamIT network IP.
How it works
- Leave the IP blank and TempDNS resolves the domain on DreamIT nameservers (ns1–ns4.hosting-cloud.net).
- Or enter the server IP directly — handy mid-migration, before the domain's DNS has been cut over.
- Either way, the target must be inside the DreamIT Host network.
- You get yourdomaincomau.temp.dreamit.au serving the site straight from our server — no hosts-file edits.
- Links to the real domain inside pages are rewritten to the preview URL automatically.
- Preview links expire 7 days after creation. Re-submit the domain to refresh or re-point.
